FAQ

What do I need to provide to host a tasting event?
It’s pretty simple! Just provide the space for the event and your guests with an area for Jeff to set up a tasting table. Then send private invitations to your friends to promote the event.
How many attendees do you allow at the tasting event?
Small gatherings and groups up to 50 can easily be accommodated.
Where can I host my tasting event?
Travel is included for event locations up to 50 miles from Edmonds, Washington. An additional fee will be incurred for greater distances due to travel time/expenses. Private homes and backyards are perfect venues. For public community centers or similar venues a Banquet Permit is required or Special Occasion License (for bonafide 501(c)3 fundraisers). Event cannot be open to the public (invitation only).
How long does a typical tasting event last?
The event size and venue determine the timing of a tasting event. Please contact Jeff Boyer to discuss.
Is there a fee for the tasting event?

There is a setup fee of $125, which includes glassware for use during the event, a table, wine barrel (depending on the space and desired setup), tasting notes for all wines, and my commentary. The host will cover the cost of all bottles opened for tasting, and discount will be applied.

Are any special permits or licenses required?
No banquet permit or other license is required for a private event held in a home or on private property. However, the event cannot be open to the general public and must be by invitation only. For public community centers or similar venues a Banquet Permit is required or Special Occasion License (for bonafide 501(c)3 fundraisers). Event cannot be open to the public (invitation only).
Do you offer discounts on wines purchased at the event?

Yes! The event host receives a 10% discount on all wines opened for tasting AND any wines they purchase during the event.

Guests purchases also qualify for discounts depending on quantities.

Do you offer delivery of the wines purchased at the event?

Yes! If additional wine is purchased outside of what is available at the event, we offer free delivery on full case purchases within the greater Seattle area.

How do you accept payment at the event?
We accept Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express), cash, or checks.
